Welcome to PockTrip. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application. The core principle of our app is that your data is your own and is stored locally on your device.
Information We Collect
All data you provide to PockTrip, including trip details and uploaded documents (PDFs, images, etc.), is stored locally on your device in your browser's IndexedDB. We do not have access to this data, and it is never transmitted to any external servers owned or operated by us.
AI Features
To provide optional features like "Smart Trip Summary" and "Offline Reminders," we send the text content you provide (or that is extracted from filenames) to a third-party Generative AI service (Google Gemini). This data is used solely to generate the summaries and reminders for you and is processed according to Google's AI privacy policies. We do not send your files, only the text content you explicitly provide for this purpose.
Data Backup & Sharing
The app provides features to back up your data as a ZIP file or share individual documents. These actions are initiated entirely by you, and the data is handled by your device's operating system (e.g., the file system or share sheet). We do not have access to the files you back up or share.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
